STEM Teachers!

Are you interested in building community with other teachers and professionals in the STEM area? Are you interested in field trips for teachers, learning from others and being recognized for the work that you do? If so, we may be the group for you.

We are BLAST, the Big Bend/Leon Association for STEM Teaching (formerly the Big Bend/Leon Association for Science Teaching). We are a subsidiary of the Tallahassee Scientific Society. We are excited about expanding our community to include other STEM enthusiasts and educators.

BLAST Teacher Day @ Joe Budd

Our BLAST Teacher Day @ Joe Budd will be a day of exploring Project WILD curriculum along with a nature hike and a brief adventure activity which could include archery or fishing. You will sample the activities and curriculum offered for different age groups at Joe Budd. Inservice Credit is available for LCS teachers. Bring a lunch and a reusable water bottle. Dress for outdoor activities.
